Yard Debris Service Coming to Springfield

In May 2008, Sanipac will provide yard debris pick-up service for Springfield customers who choose to participate. Yard debris collection will be a welcome additional service for those customers.

Springfield customers may sign up now for yard debris service. This optional service will cost $4.75 each month and include yard debris collections that will occur every other week.

Springfield yard debris service is an optional program. To sign up for yard debris service, you must contact our office. Please call 736-3600 or use the "Service Request Form" on the right side of the Customer Service page on this website.

Yard carts will be delivered in April and pick-up service will begin in May 2008. Yard debris collection will alternate with the recycle collection weeks. Here is the commingle recycling schedule for your area of town.

Sanipac's yard debris program is a year-round commitment. It is necessary for us to charge a $25 fee for terminating the pick ups early for any reason other than moving or ending your Sanipac service.

Items for your yard debris cart can include grass clippings, branches (up to 4" in diameter), leaves -- if it grows, it goes (no dirt and no rocks, please). All material should be loose; please do not use plastic or paper bags to contain the items. Remember, too, that the lid of the yard debris cart must close flat even when it is full.
