What can NOT go in the Commingle Recycling?
We often get asked “what doesn’t go in the recycling”. This is a difficult question to answer because we would not be able to include everything. It is much easier to list the items that ARE accepted in the commingle recycling.
Some examples of items that we have found in blue recycle carts that are NOT RECYCLABLE include:
ash trays,back packs, wooden chair, dryer sheets, diapers, clothing, styrofoam, BBQ grill, quarts of oil, vacuum bags, wood, shoes, slippers, napkins, satellite dish, flowers, Yard debris, bird seed, ashes, food, wicker basket, garden hoses, furniture, stuffed animals, toys, cigarettes, drywall, air conditioner filters, plant pots, dirt, weed cover, plants, power strip, bags of trash, insulation, paint cans, cat box, dryer lint, window blinds, pillows, cat litter, shower curtains, camping chair, oil jugs, neon lights, vinyl bags, oil rags, electronics, towels, tarps, belts, full bottles of soda, broom handles, air mattresses, carpet, vacuum hoses, air pumps, rugs, lawn chairs, house siding, slices of pizza, chair pads, pottery, hair, porcelain, sponges, welcome mat, blankets, car speakers, window screens, sheets, and carpet padding.
Some of these items may be recyclable or reusable through other resources.
